I've shown my photographs to a variety of clients, potential clients, freinds and family and they are blown away by the quality of the prints. When I tell them I printed them myself they are like "What?, No way" and then they asume I must have spent a whole lot of money on the printer...which is wrong ([...] after rebate from amazon/adorama). Pros : Fast - This printer spits out a vibrant and full of color 13x19 glossy print in under 3 minutes 30 seconds. Quiet - I can print at all hours of the night and not worry about waking anyone up. When Im in the next room with the door open the printer prints so quiet I cant even hear it and have to come check on the print job to make sure it didnt crash since I cant hear any noise in the next room..lol Quality - Prints professional quality prints on a variety of papers in many different sizes. Paper - You ARE NOT limited to Canon papers as you can use a bunch of other manufacturers papers. My Favorite thus far is Ilford (cheap from amazon and is basically identical to expensive Canon paper). Ink Usuage - Good on ink, Not really an ink guzzler. I printed dozens and dozens of 4x6's and even a bunch of 8x11's and 13x19s and the ink kept going and going, until I finaly started running low (after many prints had been printed). Also I now use The Continuous Ink System , so ink is now dirt cheap. Lack of native CD printing (you can "hack" the printer to be a European version which allows for native CD printing....sadly Epson and Panasonic have the patents on it and Canon refuses to pay for something it developed simultaneously in Japan). Lack of roll printing. This printer is limited to 13x26.61" prints which means you can't print very long panoramas. Matte Printing - With only one black ink, matte B&W prints are not the best, although they do look quite nice. Pros: Archival Ink - Yes, they won't last quite as long as a pigment based ink, but if properly mounted, you can get 40-50yrs out of them, and in an archival album, expect 300+ years according to research. FAST - This thing will print a full 13x19" print in under 2 minutes....hell, most printers can't even do an 8x10 in that time. Ink Usage - This printer sips ink. Having used an Epson R2880 in college, this printer is a dream. It's much better for a young photographer's budget. Picture Quality - The inks might not last as long, but they do sure as hell POP! They are better than any pigment based ink I've used. Price - This is much cheaper than any other quality printer, and the costs to run it are much cheaper with the Canon ChromaLife Inks.(Arthur D. This camera was something that I was dying to get. I've had a very old, 8 year old in fact, Coolpix camera that still works but it's so old that I hate using it. On the top and on the side, which is really handy. It does take video though I haven't tried that yet. I was also worried about the size of the pictures. How much room they would take up on a memory card. I bought a 16GB card and haven't had to stop taking pictures yet. In fact, I went to the zoo took over 80 pictures and still only came to 300mb. So I am extremely pleased with that as well. I have already recommended it to a friend that is interested in a nicer camera. Definatly worth the purchase. (Ziare)

Okay first of all i love the 26x zoom and second i love the 16.1 mp. I recently went to the zoo and took pictures that were making professional photographers mad because of the clarity and at full zoom. Display high resolution comparable to the iPad 2 The device downloaded my 100 books in minutes. Most books downloaded to the device in 3 to 4 seconds. A couple of large books took 5 seconds and I am talking about books with 800 pages! Web browsing is extremely fast. I loaded up a dozen sites that I go to with complex screens and they took 2 to 3 seconds to load. The people who are complaining should fix their WIFI instead of complaining about the Kindle Fire. I see no problem and the speed on the sites I tested is comparable to the iPad 2. One site for a local TV station took about 8 seconds and the screens are complex and contain a lot of videos and changing photos. Apps load and work great, Facebook, Words With Friends and the Weather Channel loaded fast and work quickly. Scrolling works very fast and responsive on the capacitive touch screen. Better than the HP Touchpad Video download is very fast and I have no complaints. Sound is very good on the device. Much louder than on my iPad 2 device. I saw several reviews blasting the Kindle Fire and in my opinion the sound is better than the iPad 2. (jjceo)

Let's talk about what I see as the benefits first: The screen size to me is just right for what I will be using it for - I have used an iPad and the screen is larger - but I did watch about 15 minutes of an episode of season 3 of 24 on the Fire and I didn't have screen envy or felt like I was missing anything. The sound quality was good, but I listened to it mainly with a set of headphones so I wouldn't wake my kids. Concerning size of the overall unit - not too heavy or bulky and it fits nice in your hand. I have it in one of the Marware covers and it just "feels" right: that's not a firm statement for a review, I know, but what else can I say? Holding the iPad feels a little bulky at times but the Fire is just a little bit larger than my Kindle keypad, so I was pretty much conditioned to this size over the past few years. Compared to the iPad, the Fire doesn't generate near as much heat. Speed of the apps as well as reading a book is VERY fast and responsive. I haven't tried a a challenging spreadsheet or Word document with the Open Office app yet, but then again I can't think of too many times where (based on my guesstimated usage) I will be doing those kind of tasks on my Fire: I like to keep my work separate from play. Maybe the time will come when business applications will become more prevalent with the Fire, but that's a story for another day. Back to the pricing - $199 is an absolute steal for a unit with this many features. Compare that to an iPad2 at more than twice the price for a few more inches of screen space. Some people really want that, but it doesn't bother me.
